Thank you for choosing Quickcase LLC as your source for professional web hosting and internet services.  We believe that this service sets the standard in features and value.  

You have selected the “Level One Plan” for hosting your company’s domain, {domain name}. This plan provides 100MB of disk space for web hosting, 5 Gb of monthly data transfers, 25 POP3 mailboxes, e-mail forwarding, aliases and auto-responders, a “catch-all” e-mail alias, 10 Mb of email disk cache, web statistics and 24 hour ftp access.  

The cost of this plan is $199.95 for the first year, plus an initial setup fee of $50.00, for a total of $249.95.  I attach the invoice for your records showing payment of this amount. Unless the annual cost of this plan changes or you decide to switch plans, this service will automatically renew for successive 12 month periods.  You will be billed at least 45 days prior to {anniversary date}, the anniversary date when this service commenced, and full payment is due no later than 30 days prior to the anniversary date. Alternatively, I can establish automatic renewal by secure Internet payment or credit card through PayPal, which is the method we prefer.  

Please note that this service is dependent upon your maintaining the registration of your domain, {domain name}, in which you have specific and exclusive ownership and other legal rights.  This domain has been registered for two years with {Domain Registrar}, and the attached invoice also reflects the {$} paid for the registration fee.  VeriSign.com should contact you directly to renew your domain registration.  Its renewal is solely your responsibility, and not that of QuickCase LLC or anyone else.  Mark your master calendar well in advance of your domain registration renewal date, {domain registration renewal date}, to track and confirm its renewal. I strongly urge you to check your account information on file with {WHOIS information} to ensure accuracy.   To check your records, go to {WHOIS Link} for a WHOIS Lookup, and search on your domain name.

Below is information captioned{domain name} webhosting information” that contains important and confidential information.  Please keep this accessible with your confidential business records.  Without doubt, you will need this document for future reference.    

Please note that the current password to access your domain and e-mail accounts is {confidential password}.  {Add, if QuickCase has set up client email for an additional charge:  Attached to this email an Excel spreadsheet file that includes your current account information and email userids and passwords.  If, on your own, you ever add/delete/modify any userid or password, you need to update this spreadsheet and send it to me again. Otherwise, I will not have your current information and may not be able to help you with your mailboxes.}

FTP: 

You can immediately begin uploading your site via FTP!

Please place all of your Internet files in the /html directory.

Email Administration:

We use Rockliffe's Mailsite for your email service.  It has a browser-based  interface to access and manage the mailboxes associated with your domain..  

Open your web browser and go to http://mail.{domain name}:90 (use the full URL including the http://). Click on Web Console.  From there, you need to log on.

Your USERID is admin@{domain name}.            

Your initial PASSWORD is {password}.

You can administer and create/delete/modify all your e-mail accounts from here. 

The password for each mailbox is the password associated with the userid (See the Excel spreadsheet)


Accessing MailSite accounts using a POP3 mail client (such as Outlook, Netscape, Eudora, etc.):

POP3 server is mail.{domain name}.com.

SMTP server is mail.{domain name}.com.  Our SMTP server requires authentication for enhanced security, so you must identify yourself by using your email userid and password.  The help files for your email reader should show you how to do this, or go to the QuickCase Help Desk.  Otherwise, we recommend that you use the SMTP server associated with your current ISP, which probably does not require SMTP authentication, . . . yet.  Your ISP should have given to you the address for their SMTP server, or you can get it from their web site.  It's a common question.  

If you're using Netscape mail, the username is
admin%{domain name). (Netscape does everything a little bit differently!)  

When configuring your email client, please remember that we require SMTP authentication.  We get more questions about this than anything else. 

You may view more detailed instructions on using MailSite with Outlook, Eudora, etc., by going to http://www.quickcase.com/emailhome.htm.  


For web-based email, that is, email you get by using your browser and not your email reader, each mailbox and alias may be access at http://mail.{domain name}.com (use the full URL including the http://)

Your USERID is the name of the mailbox, i.e. userid@{domain name}

You may check your email by selecting 'Inbox' from the MailSite menu. You may send an email by selecting 'Compose' from the MailSite menu. You may manage your address book by selecting 'Address Book' from the MailSite menu. You may manage your folders by selecting 'Folders' from the MailSite menu. You may edit your password or the personal information that is displayed when you send an email by selecting 'Options' from the MailSite menu and clicking User Profile. You may edit the default account settings by selecting 'Options' from the MailSite menu and clicking Preferences. You may add a signature to your emails by selecting 'Options' from the MailSite menu, and clicking Signature.

Please note that each mailbox is limited to a total of 5Mb stored on the email server.  This should not create any inconvenience for you if you use an email reader, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape Commincator or Eudora, which  regularly "POP" your mailbox.  Make sure to set your email reader to clean messages off the server (which is the default setting, usually).  Space limitation issues will arise if you leave email to stack up on the email server. You will be notified should you exceed the limit.

If you use the MailSite browser based email interface, then the 5MB space limitation may become an issue if you receive large attachments, save many messages or infrequently delete messages.  We have optional plans to accommodate your needs, should you want more than 5MB of space.  Please contact us for additional information.

While you may purchase additional cache, but we have not found this necessary except for a handful of clients with special needs.


SSL Security: You can use SSL security right now!

You can protect any file in your webspace with Secure Socket Layer Protection. Simply reference the page using the secure virtual directory we have set up for you.  Below is the url you will need to reference your protected files: 

https://{server number}.mysecureserver.com/{domain name}/

For example, if you wanted to protect a page named creditcard.htm which collects Credit Card data , you would reference the page using the following url:
