CINCINNATI BENGALS SEAT LICENSE LAWSUIT

The case began Sept. 26, 2000, in a lawsuit filed in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court by six Bengals season ticketholders.
They alleged the Bengals and Hamilton County committed fraud in how they sold seat licenses to the new stadium. The licenses were necessary to purchase season tickets.
The team and county argued that the dispute should be resolved by arbitration, , and not as a lawsuit.
Judge Robert Ruehlman decided on Dec. 11 that arbitration was not appropriate. On Feb. 9, the Ohio 1st District Court of Appeals agreed with Judge Ruehlman.
